In the late 60's, in San Francisco, mornings began with coffee at Cafe Trieste in North Beach. It was a haven for artists, writers, poets and Italians residents. At that time,
Grant Avenue was home to the Bagel Shop where Poets performed, artists lived and good Italian restaurants were plentiful. It was an invigorating and a wonderful place to be.
I draw inspiration from my memories of that play to this day.
